It's cold in New York and what's really amazing that the snow that we had - and in generous quantities - on Wednesday is still there. The streets are rather slippery and sometimes crossing a street from one side to another makes you wish you were wearing skate shoes. Yes, just like Sasha Cohen or Michelle Kwan.
In the abscence of such footwear, though, Camilla Skovgaard is offering something equally stable but without steel or aloy - you can actually wear those on a plane! And check ou the sole - I love it!

He was probably the most prominent out of his generation of designers. His talent was impossible not to admire or even to ignore - it was that big. Every time I would look at all those incredible gowns, skirts, jackets - you name it - I would find myself repeating the same thing over and over How does he ever come up with this stuff?
I can't believe that from now on, this question will only be in the past tense...

My wish has been finally granted to me: we've got snow. Yay!!!!
Our dog who should be really enjoying the weather - you'd think, with a furcoat like his! - so far, has been showing but very mild enthusiasm and it took me a while to convince him to go for a walk this morning.

Helloooo, Dolly! (c) Just after the over-the-knee boots have been around for a few seasons have they finally made their way into my heart and possibly into my closet. I know I could've jumped on this very promising trend a while ago (and I'm actually surprised that I didn't) but at least I'm ready to catch up now.
As it turns out, the universe of over-the-knee boots is not just vast - it's the size of a few Yankee Stadiums put together and right now, I'm navigating my way among all those fancy, funky, sexy and downright irresistable dwellers.
So which one is it gonna be - classic? hip? risqué ? or...?

To my surprise, for his spring/summer footwear collection Lanvin decided to step away from his usual somber-color palette and opted for a splash of color. As a long-time Lanvin devotee, I personally find it very unexpected, highly unusual and extremely seductive. And since one of my new year's resolutions was (try to)attempt at frugality, I guess I will have to make it into a poster and hang some place conspicuous - just in case.
So, behold!
